For our next stop on the #PowerToThePolls tour, we’re coming to Wisconsin on July 28, 2018!

Women's March is bringing Power to the Polls to Wisconsin! Wisconsin’s marginalized and progressive communities have been attacked by voter suppression efforts which also impacted the 2016 election results. There’s too much at stake in this election to sit on the sidelines. We have a real chance to turn things around and build a progressive majority. The one-day event will include a rally, performances, canvassing, phone and text banking, postcard writing, food trucks, fellowship and more. Two weeks ahead of the Wisconsin Primary, the tour will come to Milwaukee to increase the progressive VOTE!

We are the leaders we have been waiting for.

On January 21, 2018, Women’s March gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada to launch Power to the Polls, a national voter registration tour, one year after the historic Women’s March on Washington. This next stage of the movement will channel the energy and activism of the Women's March into tangible strategies to create change in 2018.

The national voter registration tour will target swing states to register new voters, engage impacted communities, harness our collective energy to empower grassroots leaders to advocate for policies and elect candidates that reflect the values we marched for on January 21, 2017. We will collaborate with our partners to promote more opportunities for progressive women candidates to run for office. This campaign will build upon Women’s March’s ongoing work uplifting the voices and campaigns of the nation’s most marginalized communities to create transformative social and political change.

We believe that civic change will come about when we follow and support Black women, when we commit to fighting the systemic voter suppression laws that prevent so many of our communities from voting.

On the heels of the Women’s Convention, which brought over 5,000 activists and future leaders to Detroit, and with November’s sweeping victories—from the first openly transgender woman of color winning an election to public office, to the first Asian American woman and the first Latina women elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, to the first Sikh American to be elected mayor of the city, to the first-ever Latina women elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, to seven cities electing their first Black mayors, and so many more—Women’s March aims to convert the women-led groundswell of momentum and activism into civic power.

Together, we have created a powerful movement that has ignited thousands of activists and new leaders. In 2018, we must turn our energy into active capacity building ahead of the midterms. The Power to the Polls initiative will increase voter registration and address voter suppression head on. We marched for justice in DC, we created our plan in Detroit and we announced it in Nevada and now we are bringing our Power to the Polls to states across the country.
